New production line for fast chargers in operation
HPC charging system from ADS-TEC goes into series production

Since 3 August 2020 ADS-TEC Energy has been operating a new production facility in Klipphausen, in the immediate vicinity of the ADS-TEC production site near Dresden. There are now around
40 employees working there in three shifts. Within a very short time,
a state-of-the-art production line including end-of-line was set up on an area of approx. 6000 m2.

"The new factory is in a multi-shift operation after only a few months - this alone shows the challenges we have mastered together," says Hakan Konyar, COO of ADS-TEC Energy.

This year the existing customers will be served. However, the production line is prepared for broad market access and ready
for series production.

One thing is certain for ADS-TEC: Fast charging will be the core element for a functioning and comprehensive e-mobility. It is becoming increasingly apparent that storage-supported high-performance charging at low voltage is the best solution in many places for reasons of space and cost.

ADS-TEC Managing Director Thomas Speidel is also pleased with the new production line and is certain: "We assume that especially in decentralised structures, whether in cities, residential areas or charging hubs for vehicle fleets, our sorage-based fast charger will find strong demand.

Porsche driving event at TEAG in Erfurt
Fast charging at HPC in a few minutes

"Fast charging on the road" was the focus of the three-day electric driving event with Porsche on the campus of TEAG (Thueringer Energie AG) in Erfurt. The High Power Charging Event was organized by the Porsche Centre Erfurt with the support of TEAG as a customer event with test charging. The Porsche Taycans were charged at the newly installed HPC fast charging station of ADS-TEC Energy. The aim of the event was to experience the topic for potential customers and interested parties and to convey how uncomplicated and easy fast charging can be. It became clear how close a charging process comes to the conventional filling process in terms of time and what other advantages this new technology has to offer.

Denis Schuldig, Head of TEAG's Product and Project Management Department in the Mobility Division, is delighted with the extremely successful event: "As expected, the enthusiasm after driving was great. The fact that High Power Charging really only takes minutes
left a special overall impression."

The system can deliver up to 320 kilowatts per charging station,
which is more than even a Taycan can currently handle. Even with successive charging processes, the power output remains constant, as was demonstrated in Erfurt. Even the intense heat had no effect
on the charging performance, because the integrated air-conditioning technology is designed to cope with these temperatures.

At an inauguration event on September 16, TEAG released its new charging station for public use.

The press release from ADS-TEC Energy on the driving event and further information on the HPC can be found here.

TEAG reports on the high-performance station under “Insights”.

Virtual trade fair for the strategy dialog
ADS-TEC Energy digital and interactive

The Automotive Industry Strategy Dialogue is accompanied by an online trade fair. Digital visitors can participate in the digital and interactive exhibition after personal registration. The accompanying virtual trade fair allows visitors to immerse themselves deeply in mobility "Made in Baden-Württemberg". More than 300 films, presentations, digital posters and 3D models show mobility solutions of today and tomorrow.

The public can view the MHPC charging truck in 3D and interactively at the virtual ADS-TEC exhibition stand. In addition, the battery storage specialist will be providing information on digital trade fair walls about ADS-TEC Energy's fast charging solutions.

You can visit the interactive strategy dialog automotive industry until February 2021.

We look forward to your virtual visit!

Information and pictures on the prominent live appearance of the loading truck with Baden-Württemberg's Prime Minister Winfried Kretschmann at the start of the strategy dialogue can be found here.

Continuous electricity in Africa since one year
Storage system "PowerBooster" successfully used in Vanga

In summer 2019, a battery container from ADS-TEC with a capacity of 120 kilowatt hours was installed in combination with a new PV system to supply a bush hospital in the remote Vanga region of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Since then, the hospital has been reliably supplied with electricity around the clock. What was previously only possible for a few hours via several diesel generators is now being done with the help of the sun, which is abundantly available in Africa in particular.

Brother Friedhelm manages the children's ward of the hospital, where destitute patients are also treated. In addition, he looks after other services that are of central importance for the hospital. Currently,
the isolation ward once set up for Ebola patients has been renovated and adapted for suspected cases of Covid-19 and extended hygiene measures have also been taken. The isolation ward consists of two old houses with six single rooms and is supplied with electricity around the clock. The same applies to the access path, so that at night you can reach this remote area under lighting. The stored solar energy facilitates the daily work in many ways.

Shooting in Nürtingen
Film about MHPC charging truck

On July 21th, a film team visited the headquarters of ADS-TEC in Nürtingen. In the focus of the filming - the MHPC charging truck of ADS-TEC Energy. The world's most powerful mobile fast charging solution will be shown in a film about e-mobility in Baden-Württemberg.

Video sequences about the charging process on various e-vehicles were filmed in beautiful summer weather. We will also get an air view of the truck via drone.

We are looking forward to the final film with our
Mobile High Power Charger!

Further information about the MHPC can be found here.
