Success at the Hanover trade show 2017
Great deal of interest shown in the ADS-TEC rapid-charging concepts for e-mobility
23. May 2017
A great deal of interest was shown in the exhibition of StoraXe® energy solutions from ADS-TEC at the Baden-Württemberg Energy Pavilion at the 2017 Hanover trade show.
In order to fulfil the increasing demand for flexible high performance for rapid-charging stations, for example, ADS-TEC developed the compact “PowerBooster” outdoor storage system, which was recently extended in the form of the “PowerBooster+” variant, a complete rapid-charging station with integrated charging unit. The direct provision of high power levels on the distribution network is proving to be a sought-after solution, since electromobility has developed into a major new consumption factor in the overall industrial and infrastructure energy area, with the requirement for high power levels in flexible locations within an extremely short time.
The vice-president of the European Union, Mr. Maroš Šefčovič, visited the ADS-TEC stand on the first day of the trade show. He confirmed the urgency for developing the charging infrastructure across Europe, and was positively surprised by the innovative PowerBooster solution. Mr. Rainer Bomba, Secretary of State in the Federal Ministry of Transport and digital infrastructure also had the intelligent outdoor charging solution explained to him by ADS-TEC managing director Thomas Speidel, and emphasised that the government is now putting more effort into this topic. Particularly in the automotive stronghold of Baden-Württemberg, the awareness is growing that this change requires future-oriented concepts in the near future.
However, the StoraXe® battery solutions have not just awakened the interest of energy suppliers and industrial customers who are looking for powerful and sustainable concepts as a charging station, but also as a network service provider and supporting element in the new energy system.
