ADS-TEC with keynote speech at the BVES Workshop in Athens
Opening presentation by Thomas Speidel on 18 January 2019 - an appeal to politics for a necessary correction of storage regulation
Under the title "Development of Energy Storage Markets - European experiences and potential for the Greek Energy System" numerous representatives from industry and politics met at the Ministry of Environment and Energy of Greece (YPEN) in Athens.
Right at the beginning of the event, BVES President and ADS-TEC CEO Thomas Speidel demonstrates, using the example of a swiss army knife, which diversity storage technologies are offering. The technological basics can be described as solved. The real change must now take place in political and regulatory issues, in a joint effort within the EU - an appeal that also played a decisive role in the subsequent lectures. It became clear to the workshop participants that a major effort is needed to enable required change as soon as possible. Speidel also explained in this context the role of e-mobility as a disruptive element which will be an important booster.
